The Williston Basin Curling  Club will be holding an open house from 2 to 4 pm this Sunday at the Williams County Fair grounds Multi Purpose Building which is located just west of the Agri Sports Arena.

 


The ladies Petroleum Club will meet at noon on Monday Dec 17th at the El Rancho in Williston.  This will be there Christmas Luncheon and they encourage everyone to take an hour to then them and relax.  In lieu of gift exchange they will be making a donation to the Dan Speelmon fund.  For more info call 774-8646….this is a remember from 101.1 Bob FM

 

 


 

 

 

The North Dakota Parks and Recreation Department will hold a snowmobile youth safety class in Williston from 5:30 to 9 pm this coming Monday, Dec 17th at the Upper Missouri Valley Fairgrounds. 

            There is a fee and pre-registration is required by calling 701-382-5357.

Youth ages 12 – 16 who do not possess a valid drivers license must attend the safety class and pass a written exam.  For more info go to

The third annual Relay for life Cookie sale will be held from 9 am to 2 pm on Friday, December 14th at the down town branch of First National Bank.  Cookies, candies and cinnamon glazed almonds will be available.  All proceeds go to American Cancer Society Relay for Life.

 


 

There will be a benefit bake sale for Dan Speelmon on Saturday, Dec 15th from 10 to 3 pm at 118 1st Ave West in the Petroleum Building across from the Moose.  Baked goods can be dropped off this Friday with all proceeds going to Dan Speelmon  Benefit Account that is set up at First National Bank and Trust

 


Sakakawea Good Sam Chapter will hold their monthly no-host luncheon at 11:30 this Saturday Dec 15th at Grandma Sharons in Williston.  Anyone interested my attend  or call 572-9653 for more information.

 


All are invited to the St Olaf Wednesday School Christmas Program.  It will be at St Olaf Lutheran Church on Main Street in Grenora at 7 pm on Sunday, Dec 16th.  It is entitled “Christmas around the World” and should be a good way to get you into the holiday spirits.  Refreshments will be served after the program.

The Williston Area Chamber of Commerce announces the theme of this year’s home lighting/decorating contest is “The Magic of Christmas.”   Interested participants are asked to pick up a registration form and contest rules at the Chamber office, 10 Main Street .   Judging will take place Sunday, December 16th.  Prize money is awarded in Chamber Bucks, with 1st place awarded $150, 2nd place awarded $100, and 3rd place awarded $50. 

 

This event is sponsored by Williston Area Chamber of Commerce, Montana-Dakota Utilities and Mountrail-Williams Electric Cooperative.
